About This Studio
Network for Young Artists (NYA), founded in 1999 by educator Terry Lowry, is dedicated to providing cultural performing arts opportunities to students in marginalized communities in San Antonio. NYA aims to build self-esteem, confidence, and leadership skills through music and performing arts, preparing students for success in all areas of their lives. The organization focuses on promoting Latino Arts and combining them with a diverse and inclusive culture.
NYA offers a variety of classes including vocal technique, drumline, guitar, percussion (drums), piano/keyboard, and dance. Vocal technique classes cover music theory, performance skills, and public speaking. The drumline program allows students to showcase their skills at festivals. Dance classes include musical theatre and modern/contemporary styles. These classes cater to various skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
NYA provides a unique and supportive environment for artistic growth. With experienced instructors and a commitment to serving the community, NYA stands apart from larger chains. The organization fosters a sense of belonging and encourages students to explore their artistic abilities. Check out the class schedule and payment plans to start your artistic journey today!
