New Braunfels Performing Arts

New Braunfels Performing Arts (NBPA), founded in 2012 by Sherry Bettersworth, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting theatre arts in the New Braunfels community. Sherry, a former Texas State Strutter and high school dance team instructor, envisioned a space where young performers could have a comprehensive theatre experience and develop their individual talents. NBPA strives to cultivate confidence, commitment, and creativity in its students, preparing them for future success while having fun along the way.

NBPA offers a variety of classes in musical theatre, acting/improv, and vocal performance for different age groups, from young children to adults. Classes are available in both full-time and a la carte formats, with full-time students receiving the added benefit of not having to pay show fees for productions. In addition to classes, NBPA also hosts camps, such as the Emerald City camp, which provide immersive experiences in acting, singing, and dancing, culminating in a showcase performance.

Unlike franchise experiences, NBPA focuses on creating a supportive community where students can grow their talents and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts. With elaborate set designs, authentic costumes, and a commitment to providing quality performances, NBPA offers a unique and enriching experience for both performers and audience members.
