Music on Magnolia

Music on Magnolia began in 2014 in Michael Kelly's grandmother's bungalow, where he taught students to jam and have fun. As a UTSA music student and local gigging musician, Michael created a space where students could explore various instruments. Today, Music on Magnolia fosters a love for the community and creates a family-like atmosphere for students.

Music on Magnolia offers programs for all ages and experience levels, including classical and performance paths. Students can take lessons in guitar, piano, drums, vocals, strings, horns, and bass. The studio also has programs like Music Exploration for kids not ready to commit to one instrument and Mini Maestro for younger children. Adult lessons are also available, with band rehearsals and gig opportunities.

Unlike chain music programs, Music on Magnolia emphasizes community and performance. Students play at local venues and form friendships during band rehearsals.
