Mud and Merlot

Mud and Merlot is the passion project of Dave Roach, a former middle school art and ceramics teacher who took a leap of faith to dedicate himself fully to his studio. Dave's love for ceramics and teaching shines through in his accessible and engaging classes. He founded Mud and Merlot to offer a unique experience where adults, kids, and families can create lasting memories while crafting something cool.

Mud and Merlot offers both slab and coil building, as well as wheel-throwing classes. The studio is open 7 days a week to accommodate busy schedules, with class times available throughout the day. Dave's classes are designed to be longer and more affordable than other ceramic studios, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to explore their creativity. All classes require a two-class minimum; the first to create and the second to glaze.

What sets Mud and Merlot apart is its welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beverages (wine, bourbon, or beer glasses are provided) and snacks to make the experience their own.
