Art League Houston

Art League Houston (ALH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting the Houston community through diverse and dynamic creative experiences. ALH aims to bring people together to see, make, and talk about contemporary visual art. Established to serve the local community, ALH prioritizes arts access and equity. They were also one of the first arts organizations in Texas to become W.A.G.E. Certified, signaling its commitment to operating ethically in relation to artists.

The Art League School offers a range of lifelong learning opportunities in arts education for adults of all backgrounds and skill levels. Classes and workshops are led by professional artist instructors. Courses cover a variety of mediums including painting (acrylic and oil), drawing, ceramics, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, and jewelry. The Flexible Access program provides continuing education opportunities through pay-what-you-can visual art courses.

ALH provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals can learn, share their knowledge, and explore new ideas and techniques. Students have access to exhibitions, lectures, public programs, and artist talks throughout the year. The gallery space is free and open to the public, and the studio provides a space for students to develop their unique creative voice and foster a lifelong love for creativity.
