About This Studio
Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Fine Art Gallery was founded in 1999 by glass artist David Gappa. David built a team of skilled glass artists dedicated to their craft. The studio and gallery are located in the historic district of Grapevine, Texas. Vetro is committed to educating the public about the art of glassblowing through live demonstrations and interactive experiences.
Vetro offers paperweight classes for beginners and more advanced glassblowing workshops for those who have completed the paperweight classes. Classes are offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and students can learn techniques like gathering, centering, blocking, and marvering. Participants can create their own unique paperweights and, with further instruction, even blown glass vessels.
Taking a class at Vetro is a unique opportunity to learn from experienced artists in a working studio environment. Unlike chain art experiences, Vetro provides a glimpse into the world of professional glassblowing. You can witness the fiery art form firsthand and create your own glass masterpiece. Check out their schedule and create your own glassblowing memories.
