Pottery for the People

Pottery For The People is Dallas's first community-based art studio dedicated to ceramics. Founders Lillian Flint and Jane Parsons created the studio after struggling to find a space where they could create alongside a community of artists. Their vision was to build a place where people could work together, exchange ideas, form friendships, and invest in their artistic development. The studio is run by a team of instructors and technicians passionate about sharing the power of art with the community.

The studio offers a variety of ways to engage with ceramics. 'Clay Nights' are designed for social gatherings, while longer 'Sessions' immerse students in the art of ceramics over 4-6 weeks. For experienced ceramicists, memberships provide full access to the studio, tools, and glazes to work independently. The studio also offers a unique 'pinch pot meditation' class.

Pottery For The People provides a welcoming space to explore the world of ceramics. Equipped with 12 throwing wheels, large handbuilding tables, a glazing room with in-house glazes, and three kilns, the studio provides all the necessary resources.
