Newlook Performing Arts

Newlook Performing Arts aims to bring together diverse individuals and communities, offering enriching artistic experiences. Founded by professional singers Matthew Lord and Jill Blalock Lord as Ohlook Performing Arts Center in 2002, the center quickly gained a reputation as a welcoming space where children could freely express themselves, emphasizing opportunity over competition. After a hiatus, the spirit of Ohlook continues through Newlook Performing Arts.

Newlook Performing Arts offers a variety of classes for different age groups. Acting Lab classes are available for grades 1-4, 5-8, and 9-12, focusing on theater fundamentals, scene study, character development, and vocal work. Broadway Dance classes are offered for ages 3-Kindergarten, grades 1-5, and grades 6-12, providing students with the opportunity to learn musical theater dance and develop their singing and movement skills.

Newlook Performing Arts fosters a safe environment where students can explore, fail, and succeed without fear. The classes focus on nurturing hard work and increasing confidence in students, helping them grow as performers and individuals.
