About This Studio
The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth offers studio-based programs connecting art to the collection, architecture, and special exhibitions. North Texas artists lead conversations and activities that apply and reinforce what is seen in the galleries, building, and grounds. The Modern's programs are designed to enhance participants’ experiences and expand their ideas about art, the world, and themselves.
Classes are offered for both adults and children. The Modern’s programs for children emphasize learning through direct observation of art and thoughtful art activities inspired by the permanent collection and special exhibitions. Area artists, museum docents, and education staff design and lead these programs, introducing children to some of the key ideas and techniques behind modern and contemporary art.
Taking a class at the Modern is a unique experience. The programs are designed to complement the museum's exhibitions and collection, providing a deeper understanding of the art on display. With a focus on direct observation and hands-on activities, participants can engage with art in a meaningful way. Check the calendar for upcoming classes and find inspiration at the Modern.
