About This Studio
Holman Pottery is a unique studio and gallery established in 1989 by Tony and Debbie Holman. Tony, a Master Potter with a BFA and MFA in Fine Arts, designs, throws, and decorates the pottery, while Debbie manages the business operations. Housed in an 1890 Queen Anne style Victorian cottage in Plano's Haggard Park Historic District, the studio offers an authentic and personal artistic experience. Their daughter Maggie also assists with sales and marketing.
The studio offers one-night pottery throwing workshops for adults (ages 18+). Participants will complete at least three projects on the potter's wheel, with Tony Holman providing instruction tailored to each student's skill level, from beginner to advanced. Workshops are available for individuals and groups, with finished pottery available for pickup a few weeks after the class. Holman Pottery's functional pottery is made from fine white stoneware and is microwave, dishwasher, and oven-safe.
Visiting Holman Pottery is more than just taking a class; it's stepping into a piece of Plano's history and experiencing the passion of a family dedicated to their craft. The gallery showcases Tony's pottery alongside artwork from artists across America, creating an eclectic and inspiring space. Discover the beauty of handmade art and create your own unique piece at Holman Pottery. Call or email to book your workshop today!
