About This Studio

Hart Street Pottery is the studio of Janet Rodriguez, an artist and potter with a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine arts in Ceramics from the University of Dallas. Janet has been working with clay since 1972. In 1983, she established Hart Street Pottery in East Fort Worth as a space to create and sell functional and decorative pottery. In 1995, she added a teaching studio where she shares her passion for the craft with others.

Hart Street Pottery offers six-week pottery classes for adults, covering both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. Students of all skill levels are welcome, from beginners to those with prior experience. The class fee includes instruction, clay, glazes, and firing. Class sizes are kept small to ensure personalized attention.

At Hart Street Pottery, you'll find a genuine, artist-led experience far removed from the cookie-cutter chain studios. Janet's passion for pottery and her dedication to teaching create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere for students to explore the art of ceramics. Check the schedule and join a class!
