About This Studio
FCS Clayworks, founded in 2023 by John Campbell and Erin McSweeny, is a community arts studio in Garland born from their shared passion for ceramics. After rediscovering pottery after a 15-year hiatus, John and Erin envisioned a supportive space for artists of all levels to learn, grow, and collaborate. Their goal is to provide a dedicated environment where individuals can explore the ceramic process and connect with fellow artists.
The studio offers a variety of classes and workshops catering to both beginners and experienced artists. Beginners can explore wheel throwing and hand-building techniques, while advanced courses help hone existing skills. Classes are generally six weeks long with small class sizes, allowing instructors to provide personalized attention. FCS Clayworks also offers one-time social sessions and date night events for those looking for a shorter introduction to pottery.
More than just a studio, FCS Clayworks fosters a sense of community and encourages the sharing of ideas. The studio provides an open learning environment where artists can learn and collaborate. With a focus on education and a supportive atmosphere, FCS Clayworks offers a unique alternative to larger, less personal art experiences. Check out the calendar and join the FCS Clayworks community!
