About This Studio
Cliff House Studio & Gallery is the combined vision of Pamela Summers and the late Raymond Rains, two Fort Worth artists who married and founded the studio in 1994. Pamela, a contemporary ceramics artist, carries on the legacy of offering unique artistic experiences in a serene setting near Eagle Mountain Lake. The studio combines Pam’s distinctive ceramic shapes and patterns with Raymond’s elegant art glass.
Cliff House Studio offers a range of pottery workshops, including Raku firing and throwing workshops for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. The throwing workshops are intensive three-day sessions designed to fit individual needs, with personalized instruction for up to five participants. Raku workshops are also available, even for those with no prior clay experience. All materials, glazes, tools, and kiln firing are included in the workshop fees.
Taking a workshop at Cliff House Studio is more than just learning a new skill; it's an immersive experience. The studio boasts a pottery studio and gallery joined by a large deck with beautiful views. The grounds include additional decks, a dipping pool, and a fountain. Catered lunches with beautiful views are provided during the throwing workshops, and Raku workshop attendees enjoy dinner, wine, and soft drinks on the gallery decks. The setting and the personalized instruction create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere for artistic exploration. Contact Pam to experience this unique artistic escape.
