Oak Cliff Pottery

Oak Cliff Pottery was founded in 2014 by Master Potter James Olney, who apprenticed under master wood fire potter Mark Hewitt. James established the studio with the goal of bringing fine handmade ceramics to North Texas while also providing an inspiring and accessible space for both beginner and advanced students. His extensive training and experience, including time spent learning traditional techniques in East Africa, informs his approach to teaching and creating.

Oak Cliff Pottery offers a variety of classes, including throwing on the wheel for both beginners and advanced students. They also offer decorating classes where students can personalize pottery hand-thrown by James. Private group classes are available for birthdays, bachelorette parties, and other celebrations. Team-building workshops provide a unique and engaging way for colleagues to collaborate and foster creativity.
